Ivar Berix

Clarinettist Ivar Berix (1967) studied with Bas de Jong and George Pieterson and graduated as a Performing Artist with honours. Besides Calefax, he is mainly playing chamber music in various combinations. He is also freelancing in the major orchestras of the Netherlands. Ivar plays Reform-Boehm Clarinets, built by Herbert Wurlitzer in 1986, and uses a Heinz Viotto mouthpiece, with Van Dooren reeds nr. 3.
